After working on a new book for the last 5 to 100 years or so, it’s finally done and it’s (almost) here! Bury Me Already (It’s Nice Down Here) comes out on April 14th 2026, but you can preorder it now from your local bookstore and online wherever books are sold (and get a special free gift!*) Links, info, and preview pages below!

Bury me Already is, on the surface, a comedic graphic novel about having a baby. But beyond that, it’s about my decision to become a mother after years of ambivalence, and all the body-horror, chaos, fear, and joy that decision led to. It’s also about miscarriage, abortion, a life-altering family trauma, the pandemic, and California wildfires. You know, just some easy-breezy stuff. But funny! I promise! If you enjoyed Impossible People and wanted to know what happened after I left NYC, this book is the unexpected and occasionally dramatic answer. But behind all the drama, it’s really a story about love. Because although I might present as dry and sardonic, behind my resting rage face is a sincere and cheesy…MOM?? I’m a MOM??!!! What the fuck. My kid is five now and I still can’t believe it.

I’ll be on tour in 2026 (the official book launch is April 15th at Books Are Magic in Brooklyn!) dates and locations TBD. I will also be attending a number of conventions throughout 2026-2027 so check juliawertz.com/events for details!
