The Infinite Wait is coming out from Koyama Press in September 2012. It’ll debut at SPX and be available online from me and Koyama (and Amazon, if you must) shortly after.

Can’t can’t cannot wait for the next book. Favourite panel is 6 – it’s how I feel all the time :)

Doorway is instant death actually. Doorway = void surrounded by load. When a building becomes unstable, that void closes very fast. If there’s anyone there the result is very squishy and lots of blood is involved. But at least it’s a quick death.

Maybe my computer is screwed up, today. My comment didn’t come up.

@magbrys

Yeah, I’ll agree with that. the ready.gov site on earthquakes advises against doorways.

It says to lie down on the floor, or better: 1) get under a sturdy table, or 2) get under another piece of sturdy furniture, during an earthquake.

You know what else is an infinite wait? Me waiting for this book! I have been anticipating this since like, last year!

“If I take this acid at midnight good things will probably happen”

“Oh look, the Earth collapsing in on itself.”

Weird. Isn’t “unfathomably tall” a bit of an oxymoron? :)

Julia Wertz June 18, 2012 at 9:48 pm

No, they’re two separate words with different meanings

Nele June 19, 2012 at 6:37 am

@Julia
Yes, they both measure distance; it’s just because “fathom” is a nautical term, literary used to measure the depth of water, and “tall” describes height. They go into different directions, so to say.

But it could well be that I’m wrong, I am no native speaker of English.

I want to know more about the “Lose 30 cats in 30 days” flyer. It’s such a hook!

Julia Wertz June 19, 2012 at 10:24 pm

I’m using the word “unfathomably” in the sense of something that is difficult to understand or incomprehensible, according to the dictionary. To a child, the tallness of adults is very hard to comprehend. I’m using it the right way and it’s not an oxymoron in this context.
