Awww, reminds me of the time that damn bitch Judy Blume revealed to me that there was no goddamn Santa without warning in the middle of “Superfudge,” and even tho I guess I basically knew deep down inside, I won’t ever forgive her for that.

awwwwwww. FRED!

Had y’all seen Drop Dead Fred? Just wondering if there was a little inspiration there with the name and all. Of course, it seems that your Fred was much nicer than Drop Dead Fred.

aww shit, I know exactly how this feels. my brother would entertain me with our stuffed animals as kids. on one particularly bad day he told me they were never real and he couldn’t believe I was stupid enough to think so. I definitely had a meltdown, even though I knew I was too old to believe he really had some magical voice that gave them life.

Ever seen K-Pax? I know it’s not quite the same, as Kevin Spacey’s character truly believed he was the alien prot (rather than a twin brother (…or perhaps an alien truly did inhabit his body)), but this just really reminded me of that. I’m unsure of your progression as an artist (I say that not as an insult, merely saying I – as a non-artist – have no idea what to look for), but as a storyteller, you’re just…amazing :-)

Cool story. Sounds kinda like your brother wanted to see what [adding another brother] to your family, would be like.
Then, he couldn’t find a graceful way to stop the charade. Wow. Families can be wondrous things.

Beautiful comic. Perfect telling of “that moment”, regardless of subject matter, that we all have experienced when growing up.

OFF: Julia, I just realized you remind me of a young Marie-Louise Parker :-O

I laughed out loud reading this (even though I already know the whole story)

Keep cranking out these gems, Julia. It never gets old. Ever.
