Please don’t email me about using offensive terms in this comic. I’m aware they’re taboo, they are not words I use, but if you have a parent born before 1950, this is just what happens. Also, just a reminder, this happened back when I lived in San Francisco around 2003.

Opposite the Metreon? Not bad for breakfast although for burgers I’d surely prefer Johnny Rockets.
Is there going to be a book coming out before Sept.?
we always went to the Mel’s on VanNess. The one across from the Metreon always gave me The Fear.
And no, there’s no book coming out before September. It was supposed to come out in May but we pushed it back
Driving around San Francisco and being surprised by all the Asians? Had your dad never seen SF before?
Do people really send you e-mails complaining about the terms used in your comics? Jesus…
Good job in this one, by the way!
haa awesome, can’t wait for the new book
the more i see of this book the more excited i get about it coming out.
your style is really moving along. You still have the basic simple style it seems you’ve always had but you can tell your much better at it now. i guess all those hours of sitting alone and drawing are starting to pay off!
When are you going to draw some politically trendy comics about KONY 2012?
That word is only considered offensive in some places. Here in the UK for example, Chinese people will not hesitate to name their eatery “Oriental Palace”, neither will police feel any embarrassment at saying “we are looking for a man of oriental appearance.” Remember all it means is “From the east”.
“Asian” means “from the Indian subcontinent” to boot.
Confusion!
What words are supposedly offensive in this?
My cousin and I have decided our parents talking like this means they’ve officially recognized us as grownups who won’t just repeat whatever we hear anymore. Like it’s a sign of respect (at least that’s what we want to take from it.) The other day my aunt went on a rant about gypsies. GYPSIES. Seriously? We live Texas.
