lists lists so many lists or maybe just 3

There are a lot of “best of 2010″ lists out there and, for the record, I find most of them tiresome. Probably because I just can’t keep up with new things every year because I’m lazy/busy (contradictory but complimentary traits). Also, as someone who makes things, I’m frequently asked to contribute to book/comics lists, which then throws me into a wee bout of self accusatory vexation because I still sorta think it’s 1998 and I gotta go get the new Nick Hornby book, know what I’m sayin’? But anyways, the Daily Cross Hatch has cartoonists list their top 5 of the year, and it’s always a list I read/enjoy.

I was delighted to see that Drinking at the Movies made an number of “best of” lists this year, but the one I can write home about is probably NPR’s most memorable comics of the year, because NPR is the only list my ma would recognize. Too bad I haven’t listened to NPR in over a year. I basically just sit a home, staring out the window while listening to Ocean Soundz white noise machine.
