First things first, I wish I could wake up to this headline in the news every day: “Beyonce crashes New Jersey block party, joins line dance to ‘Wobble’.” I’m not ashamed to admit that I totally heart Beyonce. Once I was riding my bike around the Upper East Side next to a black Escalade with tinted windows and all I could make out was the silhouette of a chubby faced man and a woman with big hair and I wondered if it was vaguely racist to assume it was Jay-Z and Beyonce. I wish I was their kid.
Moving right along: Thanks to Seven Second Delay for hosting 60 guests in 60 minutes at UCB last night. These events are kinda my nightmare but there were some really entertaining folks who I’m sure I would have gotten along champion with had I been able to stick around for the after party. But I had to go eat tacos because I had the blind hunger rage. You know what I’m talking about.
They were trying to break a world record for most guests interviewed in a short time. This is what the stage set up looked like, with Andy interviewing Sam West of The Onion.
Everyone had exactly 60 seconds to try to explain who they were and what they did. This of course means that I made a fart joke because when it boils down to it, that’s about all I’ve got in me. Farts, that is. Not fart jokes. nnnng shut it down.
Seven Second Delay is hosted by Ken & Andy on WFMU. They titled their post about it “Seven Second Boner.” Lolz catz.
